WEBVTT >> Hi, I'm your host Lauren Deal and I'll be your learner advocate as we go along, asking >> all the questions that you may have at home. With me today is Wes Bryan, how you doing today? I'm doing okay, thank you for having me. We're so excited to have Wes with us >> today. He's our subject matter expert, but don't let me steal your thunder, Wes. Tell us a little >> bit about who you are and we'll jump into what this course is about as well. Sounds good, my name's Wes Bryan. I am an edutainer here at ACI Learning and I have been training for better than a decade, technical training. CompTIA, I train in the CompTIA space as well as the Microsoft space. Likewise, too, I hold various industry certifications and I've been enjoying doing Microsoft training for a while. I'm former MCT Microsoft certified trainer. >> So I am looking forward to this series. And you're, I'm gonna toot his horn a little bit. He is really fun to learn with and so he's very, very qualified. And we're excited to share this information with you. Wes, tell us about who this course might be best for. All right, so this course is gonna be for some, you know, those candidates that have a little bit of experience inside of managing Microsoft environments. You have to have some familiarity with Windows environments. In fact, you have to have some familiarity with mobile environments, right? Because in this episode, the big thing that we're gonna be doing is deploying, configuring, protecting, and the management and monitoring of our endpoint, our devices. And that doesn't just go to our devices, also our client applications as well. So it is important that you have some basic understanding of these platforms as well as basic navigation. And you should be familiar with things >> like, for instance, Azure. Have a basic understanding of what Intune is and what it does for our demonstration purposes and also for your own understanding. Well, this is gonna be great. I'll be learning right along with you. And we also have a lot of really good notes you can follow along with. Well, Wes, what are we going to be exploring in this? We've got a bunch of fun topics that we're gonna be looking at. Some of the topics that we'll be looking at is managing device life cycles using Intune. Some of the other things, what are those devices that we're gonna be using? And looking at, we're gonna be looking at things like our Windows devices, our iOS and iPad OS devices, as well as Android devices, likewise too. And you might see some things thrown in there, discussions around things like Chrome OS, and >> maybe even we'll talk a little bit about Mac OS as well. We're >> gonna talk about implementing endpoint protection policies, right? This is gonna be important for our devices that are gonna be enrolled in the Intune platform. We'll look at things like, for instance, monitoring our devices and managing those devices through things like configuration profiles using the Microsoft Intune platform. So I'm really looking forward to it. A lot of hands-on demonstration. There's gonna be, some of it will be theory, but this is gonna be more a skills, hands-on based approach to how you work with the Microsoft Intune platform. I'm excited to get started Wes, and the one thing I really like about learning with Wes is that he doesn't just tell, he shows us. And so grab your notes, grab your favorite pen, and let's jump into the first episode of managing, maintaining, and securing. There it is, devices using Intune.
