[MUSIC] Hi and welcome to your PMI, PMP 6 series. What does that mean, all of those acronyms, right? It's the Project Management Institute, the sixth edition of the Project Management body of knowledge, or the PMBOK. And the certification that we're actually going to be covering is the project management professional. Now, in our title on the bottom, we will call that just PMP, and we'll call it PMP6. So we have in brackets or parentheses 2018 because this is when the update was released, in 2018. So I'm your subject matter expert, I'm Jo Peacock, and I'm gonna be with you for this entire series. And during this series, we're going to be taking a walk through the project management body of knowledge. That's a book, I've already mentioned that. It's quite a large book as well, that's this book here. And we're going to be walking through that. And we're going to be looking at the concepts of a project, what a project means, the temporary nature of a project. And then we're going to be looking at all of the processes that we have to undertake when we are managing a project. So we'll be looking at the project from the inception and the idea, right the way through to the design and the development, and then the release and deployment of a product into a live environment. Now, whilst we are here at ITProTV, and obviously we have a focus on IT, the simple fact is that the project management body of knowledge does not necessarily have a complete focus on IT. So we will be looking at this from the perspective of general project management, although we will be obviously bringing in some IT elements. But as I said, we're gonna be looking at this from the perspective of general project management. So join with us, you're gonna have a great show. You're gonna learn a lot about project management. It's gonna prepare you for the project management professional examination at the end of the series. So join us in our series on project management professionals from the PMI, the Project Management Institute. And it's the sixth edition which was released in 2018. So I will see you on our next show. [MUSIC]
